This weekend was one of those volunteering events. The Philip Mahl Memorial Kitchen Project. It was a great event and had very interesting conversations. After the event on Saturday and spending some time again on Sunday, I began to let this all soak in. I think because I was tired and ready to drop in an instant, the best of my emotions came out. I cannot even come close to imagining what it feels to lose a child. But realizing these feelings brought me back to missing my Nana. If you have ever seen the movie with Brad Pitt growing up backwards. If you ever live and care for an elderly person with Alzheimer's, it feels that way. Her memory will always be in my heart and I see her in my mother in little actions and expressions. And my mother says the same about me. I have been working on the Community Darkroom at the Del Rio Council for the Arts, the Firehouse. I have finally found chemicals that are eco friendly and the Firehouse Administrator, Nancy, has been great to work with. In conjunction effort, we have reestablished the darkroom and have organized a workshop for beginners, amateurs and any one who is intrigued with photography.<br /><br />I will be instucting a beginners class, using a HOLGA camera.
